Tricya Morrice
COUNSELLING INTERN
(she/her)
Integrative, person-centred therapy for individuals 16+ navigating stress, anxiety, relationships, trauma, and disconnection from self.
Tricya offers a warm, compassionate, and collaborative space where you can feel safe, supported, and understood. Drawing from both traditional and mind-body approaches, she helps clients build resilience, strengthen their connection to themselves, and move through life’s challenges with greater awareness and confidence.
My Philosophy
I believe meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and explore our experiences with curiosity and compassion.
My approach honours the connection between mind and body while building on the strengths and resilience you already carry.
My Approach
Therapy with Tricya is warm, collaborative, and tailored to the individual. She works with clients ages 16+ using a client-centred, strength-based and integrative approach, creating space to explore challenges while building practical tools for greater resilience and well-being.
Her work draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practices, mindfulness, somatic approaches, and resilience-building strategies. Depending on your needs, sessions may explore thoughts and emotions alongside the ways stress and past experiences are held within the body and nervous system.
Tricya has a particular passion for supporting military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their families. Since 2017, she has worked alongside those impacted by accumulated operational stress and understands many of the unique experiences surrounding service, deployments, transitions, relationships, and family life. As a military wife herself, she brings both professional knowledge and personal understanding to this work.
A dedicated yoga practitioner for more than 30 years and teacher since 2011, Tricya also draws from trauma-informed yoga, Eastern philosophies, and somatic practices to support the mind-body connection. She welcomes clients who wish to explore spirituality, meaning, or existential questions, regardless of faith or non-faith background.
Her relaxed and approachable style creates space for clients to show up as they are and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.
