First-ever Take Back the Night rally takes over Kemptville streets

It’s a hard pill to swallow, but in 2019, most women still don’t feel safe walking down the street alone at night.

A nationwide event called Take Back the Night aims to change that.

The rally took place for the first time ever in Kemptville last night, co-ordinated by the Anti-Violence Coalition of Leeds and Grenville. Roughly 50 people gathered at Rotary Park, where some made their own protest signs.
