How We Work

Trauma therapy is not about reliving everything at once. It’s about building safety first.

In counselling, we focus on:

  • Creating emotional stability
  • Strengthening nervous system regulation
  • Processing experiences at your pace
  • Rebuilding a sense of control and self-trust
  • Reducing shame and self-blame

We move at your pace. You are always in control of how much you share and when.

What You Can Expect

Your first session focuses on understanding what has brought you here and what feels most pressing right now. We will talk about your history at a level that feels safe for you, explore the symptoms you’re currently experiencing, and clarify what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll begin shaping an initial plan that reflects your goals and your pace.

There is no pressure to tell your whole story right away. Establishing safety and trust always comes first.
